Current and Past recipients of the ParamountFoundationScholarship
2007
Our recipient for 2007 is a 6’6” Deerfield High School senior who plans to study mechanical engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was team captain for FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a program that allows high school students to work closely with professional engineers to apply engineering solutions to everyday, real-world problems using robotics. Under the auspices of The Arial foundation, our recipient was project manager for the design and development of the Arial Home, a house that can be built in a single day from prefabricated insulated panels for use in impoverished, third world countries. He is a four-year athlete in two sports, a National Merit Finalist, and a member of the National Honor Society at DHS.
