Instructions

In order to contribute content to this website, you need to request an individual logon ID from the webmaster. Click to email the webmaster

The webmaster will contact you personally with a logon ID and password. If you like, I can call you and walk you through it.

When you are logged on, the "edit" link under "This Page" in the left sidebar that will let you change or add content.

Detailed instructions on how to edit wiki pages are in the Help links. Note that if you use the free FireFox web browser, you will be able to use a graphical editor that makes editing much more like a regular word processor. (in fact, it even lets you copy and paste documents from Microsoft Word)

Don't worry about making mistakes, the wiki keeps a history of all previous versions of every page and it is easy to rollback to any of them. Use the WikiSandBox to practice and learn how to edit pages.

Guidelines

The club has not created any official guidelines for the use and content of the website.

As webmaster, I have decided on the following guidlines, which could be changed at any time, either by me or through the democratic process of the club:

  • The posting of objectional material of an indecent, harassing, illegal or unethical nature is strictly prohibited and will result in your logon ID being cancelled.
  • NO LAST NAMES! Search engines allow anyone anywhere to find the content posted here. We don't want anyone to be embarrased when their boss or coworkers "google" them and find photos showing how much fun they were having at a Tall Club party ;-)

  • The standard wiki user id will only include the firstname and the lastname's initial. The wiki standard is for this to be CamelCase. For example, the webmaster, RobK.

  • Commercial content should have particular relevance to tall people or a member of the club.
